Crushed to death when a jack collapsed while he was working under a car. He attended grade school in Veneta and Elmira High School. He was employed by International Paper Co. of Vaughn. Father of Alex, Candy and Billie; son of Alex and Evelyn Alvarez; brother of John Alvarez, Gary Waldien, Kathy Umbarger, Marguerita Alvarez and Sharon Walker.

This is Alex and my mom on their wedding day, November 5, 1977. (I inherited the necklace Mom is wearing in this photo--- an abalone heart, which I believe she received from Alex just before the wedding.)

These are Alex's kids--- Alex, Candy and Billie. I must admit I didn't get to know the girls, as they never came over to our house like Alex Jr. did, so I don't know which girl is which. I will identify them when I do learn this. I believe this was also taken in 1977.
