He was born June 17, 1884 in Bountiful, Utah, the son of John Maxey Richard and Georgenia Laffney Bee.
He was raised in Bloomington where he attended schools.
He married Louise Isabell Welchman on Oct. 18, 1911. They moved to Grover, Wyo. where they resided until 1941, then moved to Idaho Falls.
He served an LDS missino in 1913 in Colorado, then a home mission in his later years at Idaho Falls.
He is survived by his wife of Idaho Falls, two daughters and one son, Arthur R. Bee and Mrs. Victor (Laura) Karlson, both of Idaho Falls; and Mrs. Wade (Nona) Woolf of San Francisco, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters, Florence Stokes, Ogden, Utah; Joseph Bee, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Hattie Stoddard and Eleanor Hess, both of Ogden, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers and sisters, three sons and one daughter.
