THE DEATH OF WILLIAM J. CORNELL
William J. Cornell died at the home of his son, William Cornell, Jr., in Stockwell at 7:30 o’clock Wednesday morning. Death was due to heart trouble. He was the son of William and Sarah Cornell and was born August 9, 1847, in White county. He was a farmer for a number of years and resided in Lauramie Township. Surviving are seven children, Thomas, William, Clyde, James and Ray Cornell and Mrs. Bertha Anderson, all of Lauramie Township, and Mrs. Grace Landes, of Frankfort. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Baker funeral home at Dayton and will be removed to the home of his son, William Cornell, Thursday morning. Funeral services will be conducted in the Methodist church at Stockwell by Rev. Richard Pengilly, at 2:30 o’clock Friday afternoon. Burial in Salem cemetery.
