Linn Genealogical Society by Jerry Duncan & Rose M. Schatz
The Santiam News Friday August 31, 1900
Another Pioneer Gone. Grandma Brenner died at her home three miles northeast of Scio Tuesday, August 28, 1900, and was buried at the Miller cemetery Wednesday. Mrs. Brenner was about 90 years of age, and was well known in this section, where she had lived for many years. Her husband died a little over a year ago, and for the past year Mrs. Brenner's health has been very poor, so much so that she has been unable to care for herself in the least.
She leaves three sons and three daughters, and a host of friends to mourn her demise
