Wiser, John E. passed away Sept. 23, 1920, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Orren Wells of Lincoln Township after several months’ illness. He was born March 6, 1857, in Ontario, N. Y., and came to Oceana County, Michigan, at the age of 21 and was married to Hermie B. Morrison in 1879. Their married life extended until Jan. 30, 1888. To them were born three children Mrs. Jessie James of Kalkaska, Mrs. Owen Wells of Lincoln Township, and Gertrude, who died March 20, 1903.
On Nov. 22, 1892, he was married to Mrs. Evah Arcilia (Heckel) Sischo (1857 – 1944).
