Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for Willard 'Bill' Gohman, 82, who died Tuesday at Good Shepherd Community, Sauk Rapids.Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Miller-Carlin Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home followed by St. Joseph American Legion Post 328 at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Willard Gohman was born in St. Augusta Township to William and Anna (Lenzen) Gohman. He was in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945. He married Rose Zimmer on Aug. 21, 1943 at Camp Carson, Colorado Springs, Colo. He moved to St. Joseph in 1947 and began W. Gohman Construction Co. in 1950. He built the company into one of Central Minnesota's largest construction companies and retired in 1983. He received an honorary diploma from St. Cloud Technical High School after many years of construction at the school. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joseph's Holy Name Society, St. Joseph's Cemetery Board, and St. Joseph's Fourth of July Festival. He was a former commander of St. Joseph American Legion Post 328, a past president and charter member of St. Cloud Contractor's Association and a member of St. Cloud Builders Exchange. He was a former Boy Scout leader, a former member of Knights of Columbus, St. Cloud Eagles Aerie 622 and the Elks Club.

Survivors include his wife; daughters and son, Judy Burke and Barbara Osborne of Glenwood Springs, Colo., Gloria Knipschild of Janesville, Wis., Michelle of Woodbury and Bruce of Clearwater; sisters, Viola Chirhart of Sauk Rapids and Florentine Fladung of Tyler; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel; sisters and brothers, Elizabeth Bennett, Katherine Hinkemeyer, Bernadine Malikowski, Peter, Matthew, Herman and Edwin and two grandchildren.Memorials are preferred to Struthers Parkinson's Center.
