Pittsboro - Mrs. Simon P. Weddle died Friday following an operation for abcess. She was born in Virginia Feb. 10, 1844.
She was first married to Samuel Harter. To this union three children were born - Walter, of Colorado, Elmer, of Washington state and Samuel, of Lebanon. Mr. Harter dying she was married in 1881 to S. P. Weddle. Of this union, three sons and a daughter survive - Bennie, at Brownsburg, Everett, at Decatur, Ill., Edgar, at Clyde, Ill., and Lizzie, the youngest and only child at home. She will be greatly missed in the home and church circle as she was a devoted member of the Baptist church.
The funeral was from the Baptist church Sunday, conducted by Rev. Williams. Interment was at Lizton. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the community.
