Lloyd Parks was born January 10, 1945 to the late Earnest and Maggie (Brown) Parks in Lenox, Missouri, and entered into rest June 16, 2011 at the age of 66.
Lloyd was united in marriage to Patricia (Littrell) Parks April 3, 1964 and to this union three sons were born.
He was a member of First Assembly of God of Rolla.
Lloyd drove trucks for forty five plus years. He was the owner and operator of Parks Trucking for many years.
He loved going on trail rides and raising quarter horses.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Parks of Rolla; sons Christopher Parks & wife Christina of Rolla and Roy Parks of Rolla; brother Jim Parks & wife Pamela of Rolla; sister Lois Lambiel & husband Kurtis of Rolla; sister-in-law Bonnie Parks of Lenox, MO; grandchildren Leah, Victoria, Austin, Hailey and Ashley Parks along with several nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son Mark Parks; brothers Leonard, Harold and Dale Parks; and sisters Margaret Enke and Joann Barnes in addition to his parents.
Services for Lloyd Parks will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11 AM at James & Gahr Mortuary in Rolla, Missouri with Pastor Chuck Whitmire officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 from 5 to 7 PM at James & Gahr Mortuary in Rolla. Interment will be at the Lea Cemetery in Leasburg, Missouri.
Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association. Cards are available at all James & Gahr locations.
Arrangements are under the direction of James & Gahr Mortuary of Rolla.
