Willis T. Barkhuff, son of Oliver Barkhuff and Amelia White, died of a heart ailment at the Dickinson County farm, Sunday, March 21.
He was born in Fayette County and had done some general farm work most of his life.
A sister, Mrs. Gladys Melcher of Porter, Minnesota and Dell Barkhuff, a brother of Des Moines survive. Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
Mr. Barkhuff never married. He was a member of the Methodist church and of the Modern Woodmen's lodge.
Funeral services were held at the Harpole funeral home in Spirit Lake, March 23, 1954, with the Rev. Robert B. Crocker of the Methodist church officiating. Special music was furnished by Mrs. Iva Slagle.
