His siblings were: Roberta Belle Conger (Vermillion), Benjamin Alvie Conger, Jr., Patrick Cleburn Conger, Tommy Gene Conger, Howard Leon Conger, and Jack Randle "John" Conger. Two of his siblings died young: One child, whose name is unknown by this author, was stillborn, and Mary Lillian Conger died shortly after birth.
Orville married Frances Josephine McFerren on December 25, 1946. Together, they had two children: Stephen Wayne Conger and Kathy Elaine Conger (Weaver).
Orville was a soldier in the US Army (Signal Corps), having enlisted on June 18, 1946 in Dallas, Texas.
Orville died January 1, 1978 in Kansas City, Missouri. His daughter, Kathy, shared this with me: "He died from a massive heart attack three years after a major accident in Worlds of Fun Amusement Park (his employer) where his right leg was torn off by a roller coaster."
He was buried at Grove Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas, Texas alongside his parents.
