CROWLEY — Funeral services for Benjamin Hargrave, 83, of Morse, were held Monday, July 23, 2001 in Duhon Funeral Home.
The Revs. Albert Nunez and Antoine Valdatero officiated. Burial was in Hanks Cemetery in Morse.

A rosary was recited Sunday.

Mr. Hargrave died at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2001, in the local hospital.

He was a lifelong resident of Morse. He served in the Army in World War II. He was a retired painter contractor.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Hargrave of Crowley, Gordon Hargrave of New Castle, Okla., and Berton Hargrave of Morse; three daughters, Deanna Istre of Morse, Barbara LeJeune of Iota and Margaret Statum of Moss Bluff; one brother, Aneteuse Hargrave of Port Neches, Texas; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
