West , Fred R., longtime resident of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, FL, born July 29, 1916 in Roanoke, Alabama died peacefully, April 10, 2007 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret; daughter and son in law, nephew, and two nieces. Fred attained the rank of Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve as a pilot and honorably discharged in 1966 after duty in WWII and Korea. He then had a career with the Florida Vocational Rehabilitation Program, retiring as Broward County District Director.
