Born Alethia Lelia Blakeslee, but always went by the name "Betty", in Elgin, Erie Co, PA. 1st marriage to Lawrence Magoon which resulted in the birth of one son, Robert Lawrence Magoon. (MIA in the Korean War in South Korea - Later learned he had died in a POW camp of starvation). Betty then married her soul mate and lifetme partner, Ralph C. Elliott. They enjoyed traveling the United States together finally settling in Florida for their retirement years. Both Betty and Ralph worked at various Restaurants, American Legion & Foreign Legion Posts as their cooks. Betty was a terriffic cook and was well sought after for her skills. Born in the North but was a true "southern Gal" at heart. She came from a large family of 8 children: Cleon Winfred Blakeslee (1909-1938), Gertrude Florence Bakeslee Black (1912-1996), Garold Eugene Blakeslee (1913-1913), Arthur Leroy Blakeslee (1917-1993), Elizabeth Luella Blakeslee (1919-1924), Richard William Blakeslee (1920-1991) and Oliver Phillip Blakeslee (1922-2007).
