Earl of Arundel, Surrey, and Norfolk. Earl Marshal of England.

Thomas Howard, 14th Earl of Arundel KG, (7 July 1586 – 4 October 1646) was a prominent English courtier during the reigns of King James I and his son, King Charles I, but he is best known as an art collector rather than as a politician. When he died he possessed seven hundred paintings, along with large collections of sculpture, books, prints, and drawings. Most of his collection of marble carvings, known as the Arundel marbles, was eventually left to the University of Oxford.

He was married in 1606 to Alethea Talbot, 14th Baroness Talbot, 17th Baroness Strange of Blackmere, and 13th Baroness Furnivall, the youngest daughter of Gilbert Talbot, 7th Earl of Shrewsbury and his wife, Mary Cavendish, and a granddaughter of the redoubtable Bess of Hardwick, Countess of Shrewsbury.
