Effie Mae Anderson, 81, of Spencer, died Sunday in Sioux City
Services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Dickens. The Rev. Marilyn Hamilton will officiate
Casket bearers will be Donald Wilson, Wayne Wilson, Leo Lange, Bill Seart, Don Bryan and Harold Sassman
Burial will be at the Dickens Cemetery
The Baumgarten Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of service arrangements
The daughter of Ed and Alda Bales Condra, she was born July 6, 1906 at Numa. She attended Seymour High School and Cedar Falls teacher College in Cedar Falls
She married John Edwin Anderson in June 1926 at Numa. They lived in the Dickens area for 60 years.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Dickens, the Rebecca Lodge and was an active volunteer in church and community activities
She lived at Northshire Nursing Home in Spencer
Survivors include her three sons and their wives, Norman and Martha Anderson of Raleigh, North Carolina, Merrill and Janice Anderson of Omaha, Nebraska and Eldon and Barbara Anderson of Pompano Beach, Florida; a daughter, Linda and her husband, William Norton of Iowa City; 14 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Condra of Numa and Albert Condra of Spencer; and a sister, Edith Brown of Numa
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970; a sister; and two brothers
