DAVENPORT - Earl H. "Bumps" Brammann, 90, of Davenport, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Davenport Good Samaritan Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.

He was born August 12, 1917, in Davenport, the son of John and Vironda (Campbell) Brammann and graduated from Davenport High School in 1935. On September 24, 1938, he married Frances V. Howard at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport.

Mr. Brammann served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been employed by Northwestern Bell for thirty-two years prior to his retirement. His memberships included Pioneers of Northwestern Bell and Walcott American Legion Post #548.

Survivors include his wife, Frances; two daughters, Carol Frields of Davenport and Kay Mizer of Mediapolis, Iowa; eight grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Jane Cooper of Spanaway, Wash.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Norine Frederick and son, Rex Bramman.
