DAVENPORT -- Services for Edwin M. Andresen, 88, Davenport, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today at the mortuary.
Mr. Andresen died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley, Ill.
He was employed 25 years as a production machinist at Gelman Manufacturing, Rock Island.
He was born April 28, 1912, in Davenport, to Harry and Selma (Thiessen) Andresen. He married Bessie "Billie" Dombrowski on Sept. 1, 1940, in Davenport. She died Feb. 12, 1985.
Mr. Andresen was a pioneer aviator and was involved in the Quad-Cities Airmen Group and the Civil Air Patrol. Mr. Andresen and his late wife, Bessie, were avid ballroom dancers at the Col Ballroom. He also was a member of the Moose Lodge of Davenport.
Memorials may be made to Parkinson's Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Andresen, Rock Island; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Donna Andresen, Moline; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Harriet Daily, Davenport.
