Mrs. Anna Mae Brown. 80, of 103
Upper College Terrace,
Frederick, died Wednesday
morning, Sept. 8, 1982 at Homewood
Retirement Center, Frederick.
She was the wife of Herman Monroe
Brown Sr., who predeceased her Nov. 24,1982.

Born July 8,1902, in Baltimore, Mrs.
Brown was a daughter of the late
George Washington and Catherine
Wunder DePascal. Mrs. Brown was
a member of St. John Catholic
Church, Frederick. She was a
very active member of the Women of the
Moose Chapter 347, where she was a
member of the Academy of Friendship
in 1946, and served as Senior Regent
from 1947-1948, and was a member of the
College of Regents in 1955. She was also
a member of the women's auxiliary of
Francis Scott Key Post No. 11,
American Legion, and the women's auxiliary,
BPO Elks Lodge 684. Mrs. Brown
owned and operated Brown's Liquor
Store in Frederick for many years prior
to her retirement.

The last of her immediate family,
Mrs. Brown is survived by four children,
Mrs. Irene Kallaway of Ormond Beach,
Fla., Mrs. Delores DeLauter of Texas,
Herman M. Brown Jr. of Frederick, and
Mrs. Anna Mae Shores, Fairfield, Pa.;
9 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Brown is at the Frederick
Funeral Home of Robert E. Dailey &
Son, P.A., 1201 N. Market St.. where
friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday,
Sept. 9, and from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.
Friday. Sept. 10. Christian Wake services
will be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday at
the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11,
at St. John Catholic Church. Fr. Edward
V. Echle will be the celebrant. Interment
will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery,
Frederick.
