Joseph E. Hudson died Monday August 11, 1902, of typhoid fever. He was 50 years of age. He has been proprietor of the hotel in the Teomey block for some time and proved a good business man in that capacity. He was the last Town Marshal appointed and held that office until he died. He leaves a widow, three daughters, two brothers, and many relatives and friends to mourn his demise. He has been a Cumberland Presbyterian for a number of years. The funeral service was conducted Tuesday morning at the Presbyterian Church by Rev. T. Hunter, after which the remains were taken to Bethlehem for interment.
