Morris Albaugh would marry Mary Catherine Boehmer (1766-1843) in Maryland in 1786, and farm in Maryland while having seven of their ten children. At the age of 40, Morris would migrate with his family to Ohio, in 1802. He was one of the first pioneers into Ohio, being reported as the first settler in Loudon Twp., Carroll (Harrison) Co., Ohio, in 1802. Pioneer migrations into an area was often followed by other members of the same nationality and other immediate family members. At least five of Morris's siblings would follow him to Ohio; Anna, John Peter, George II, William, Elizabeth.
