Betty L. Brown, 93, of Dardanelle, died Thursday, January 1, 2015, at the Dardanelle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 20, 1921, in Smyrna, Arkansas, to James Harvey and Bertha Lee Smith Gray.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wiley William "Bill" Brown; a son, William Harold Brown; and three grandchildren, Mark Brown, Sally Brown, and Jacob Allen Brown.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws, Gary Dewayne and Francis Brown of Dardanelle, and James E. and Barbara Brown of Greenbrier; a sister, Opal Whitbey; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Bill Harmon and the Rev. Johnny Whorton. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery near Pottsville, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 5-6 p.m., at the funeral home.
