According to Daniel Reid Ross, author of the "Lincoln's Veteran Volunteers" book, the following: My grandfather, Dr. Daniel Ross, erected a 4 sided memorial in Falling Waters Presbyterian Church cemetery. Falling Waters is not far from Hedgesville, and also is in Berkeley County. One side of the memorial marks the grave of his sister, Anna Marie , one side marks the memory of his brother William Henry who was wounded on May 5, 1864, died the next day on the battlefield, and his body was never recovered. My grandfather exhumed the bodies of his father, Charles W. Ross, and his first born child Margaret, both of whom died in Kilbourne, and had them re-buried at Falling Waters.
