Robert (Bob) Leland Norcross Born 10/19/50, son of the late Leland and Katie Norcross, died from complications of diabetes on 10/4/07. During his healthy years, Bob biked in 100-mile Centuries and sprint races at the Hellyer Park Velodrome. A special thrill for Bob was hand-launching his personally designed balsa gliders into perfect thermal wind currents and watching his handiwork disappear into the high desert sky. Bob was an accomplished woodwind musician, especially enjoying songs from the Big Band era. Regardless of where his career as an MBA/CPA took him, the USC Trojans, his alma mater, were beneficiaries of thunderous cheers during football season. Bob is survived by sons Jason and Ryan; daughter-in-law, Kelly; grandchildren Tyler and Laynie; twin brother, Joe; sister-in-law, Carolyn; niece, Becky; and, friends Cathy Holley and Peggy Bryan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 1:00 PM at Bob's faith home, Christ Community Church of Milpitas, 1000 S. Park Victoria Drive, Milpitas, CA 95035. His final resting place will be aside his parents in rural Albin Cemetery, Comanche County, Texas. Donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Christian Children's Fund, P.O. Box 85066, Richmond , VA , 23286.
