ALMEDA (TAYLOR) MCLAUGHLIN

Funeral services for Mrs. Almeda McLaughlin, 71, former resident of Dallas and employee of the local post office 30 years who died at the home of her son in Houston Friday, will be held in the Chapel of Ed C. Smith & Bro., Ross and St. Paul, at 11 a. m. Monday. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.

A former teacher in Texas schools for 19 years, Mrs. McLaughlin was a native of Illinois and the wife of the late Rev. N. M. McLaughlin. Upon his death she moved to Dallas and was employed as directory clerk in the post office. She remained there for 30 years and, upon retiring six years ago, moved to Houston to live with her son, Davis T. McLaughlin.

For many years while in Dallas, she taught the Adult Bible Class of the Elmwood Community Church.

Also surviving her are two sisters, Mrs. R. R. Traylor, Dallas, and Mrs. John T. Horton, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; a brother, A. P. Taylor, San Antonio; and six grandchildren.
