Fairfield, Calif. - Carlie Cardell Mincey, 42, died Wednesday in Fairfield from injuries he received in an automobile accident. The Bulloch County native had resided in Fairfield, Calif., for 22 years and was retired from the United States Air Force in 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anne L. Mincey, Fairfield, Calif.; one daughter, Krystal Starr Mincey, Fairfield, Calif.; three sons, Carlie C. Mincey Jr. and Anthony J. Mincey, both of Washington, D.C., and Omar M. Mincey, Fairfield, Calif.; his father, Carl Mincey, Statesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Venus M. White and Valerie Mincey, both of Statesboro; five brothers, Kenneth C. Mincey, James R. Mincey and Mark A. Mincey, all of Statesboro, Clifford T. Mincey, Atlanta, and Martin D. Mincey, Savannah; and his paternal grandparents, J. C. and Ruby Cooper, Cincinnati, Ohio.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Brannen Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
