ACHEY-SAMUEL B., 73, 3903 6th Ave., died Thursday morning in a local hospital. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was retired from Corley Manufacturing Co. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Daisy Holcomb Achey; a daughter, Mrs. Jeannine Crowe; three grandchildren, Mrs. Brian Shaw, Pat Crowe III and Michael Crowe; a great-grandchild, Erin Shaw, and a brother, Ernest Achey, all of Chattanooga. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today in the West Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Revs. T.D. Burgess and Billy Dean officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be R.L. Moates, Sr., R.L. Moates, Jr., Hal Redwine, Jess Lang, Jess Cronnon and Curry Dean. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Auditorium Bible Sunday School Class. The body is at Chattanooga Funeral Home, West Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave.
