"Lem H. True, 33, was killed instantly last night when a boxcar hit his shanty at the Texas and Pacific crossing on Main Street. He was a flagman for the Texas and Pacific at that crossing. Pat Shea, a Texas and Pacific conductor, was injured in the accident." Fort Worth Record, Sunday, February 21, 1904.

Lem True was married to (1) Emily Flenner in 1895 and (2) Bessie Bell Troup in 1900. Lem and Emily had son Morgan Harper True. Lem and Bessie had sons Patrick Hallett True and Lemuel True Jr.
