Kennith O. Adair, 65, of Clarinda died early Tuesday morning at Municipal Hospital following a long illness.

He was born Sept 21, 1915 in Mills County, the son of Omar E. and Kathryn Rice Adair.

On Jan 6, 1937, he was married to Ruby Sullivan who survives. They farmed around Malvern, Villisca and Glenwood and later moved to Clarinda where he worked as an independent trucker.

He is survived by his wife of the home and 11 children: Mrs Jim [Lavonne] Palmer of Lee Summitt, Mo; Kenneth H. Adair of Franklin, Ky; Mrs Doyle [Kathryn Kay] Smith of Keokuk, Ia; Mrs Robert [Alice Jean] Jones of St Joseph, Mo; Keith R. Adair of Underwood, Ia; Mrs Francis [Anna] Cross of Middletown, Ia; Jerry Adair of St Joseph, Mo; Robert E. Adair of Ft Hood, Texas; US Army; Phyllis Mozga of Des Moines, Mrs Harland [Linda] Mace of Shambaugh, Leslie Adair of New Market. There are 32 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There are four sisters: Mrs Bill [Elsie] Waller, Mrs George [Leona] Ratcliff, Mrs Ray [Gerretta] Frink all of Red Oak and Mrs Donald [Geraldine] Robinson, of Prescott, Az. He was preceded in death by one brother Harold.

Funeral services were held this Thursday afternoon at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Jon Palmquist officiating. Grace Perry was organist. Casket bearers were: Dennis Otte, Dennis Davison, Elmer Quee, Lyle Sunderman, Ben Tomlinson and Kenneth Wagoner.
