Paul Francis Christenson, age 57, of Waukee, Iowa and formerly of Storm Lake, Iowa died June 15, 2011 in Johnston, Iowa. Paul Francis Christenson was born June 28, 1953 in Storm Lake, Iowa the son of Bernard and June (Beck) Christenson. As an infant, Paul was baptized at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake.

On October 30, 1960 Paul received his first communion and on May 19, 1965 he was confirmed.

Growing up, Paul attended St. Mary's Catholic School where he graduated in 1971.

On December 11, 1973, Paul was united in marriage to Mary Dean in Storm Lake. Together, they were blessed with one son, Ryan.

Paul continued his education at Western Iowa Tech Community College and then started his trade as a journeyman for Seiler's before opening his own business as Christenson P & H in 1980. In 1999, they moved to Waukee, Iowa and he continued working in the plumbing industry.

Paul taught classes in furnace and air conditioning for many years. He was a fixit guy and loved to tinker and get old things up and running. Paul also enjoyed golf. He loved his family and treasured the time he was able to spend with them. Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mary Christenson of Waukee, Iowa; son, Ryan Christenson of Jackson, Tennessee; brothers and sisters: Philip (Maryanne) Christenson of Loveland, Ohio; Mark (Barbara) Christenson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Kathy (Joe) Nemmers of Forest Lake, Illinois; Donnabelle (Jeff) Romatoski of Woodbury, Minnesota; Jim (Laura) Christenson of Adel, Iowa; Frank (Kris) Christenson of Van Meter, Iowa; Rose (Mark) Janes of Tampa, Florida; Marica (Joey) Davis of Apollo Beach, Florida; and John (Bonne) Christenson of Austin, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and many friends.
