Brohard Funeral
Salem, Nov. 1.—(Special)—Last rites for Mrs. Velma Brohard, 63, who died at 6:30 p.m. yesterday at her home, 63 Carolina Avenue, will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Salem Baptist Church.
The body will lie in state from 1:30 until 2:30 o'clock at the church. The casket will be closed when services begin.
The Rev. Edgar F. Drumel, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be made in the Mount Olive Cemetery.
Mrs. Brohard had been ill two years and a half and had been bedfast the last six months.
She was born September 23, 1877, in Harrison County, a daughter of Thomas and Samantha Bailey. Surviving are the husband Milroy Brohard, retired farmer; a son, Corwin, of Princeton; and a brother Carl F. Bailey, of Salem.
