Vitalia G. García, age 84, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 1997 at the Northeastern Regional Hospital following an extended illness.
Vitalia was born in Tremetina, NM on December 12, 1912 to the late Pablo García and Maria Romero García.
A life long Catholic, she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Vitalia was a member of the Guadalupanas and the Foster Grandparents.
Vitalia was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Maria García, son, George C. García in 1996 and daughter, Margie García in 1965.
Vitalia is survived by one son, Charlie Garíca of Hereford, Texas, grandson, Joseph H. García of Las Vegas, granddaughter, Agapita B. García of Mesquite, Texas, great-granddaughter, Tracy Ann Crespín of Las Vegas and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rosary devotional services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. this evening and Wednesday at the Rogers Chapel. Funereal services will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father George Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at San Antonio Cemetery in Las Vegas will the following serving as casket bearers, Max Quintana, Paul Quintana, Orlando Quintana, Martin Gallegos, Domingo Madrid and Lee Quintana. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughter, grandson and great-granddaughter. Reciting the rosaries will be Celina Pino and the choir in charge of music will be the Reina De Los Cielos, Geraldine Pacheco.
