Born Nov. 26, 1909, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Carroll Zile and Sarah Grossnickle Zile. She was the wife of James W. Bostian, who died in 1977.
She was a member of the Edgewood Church of the Brethren and the New Windsor Senior Citizens and a she was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the New Windsor Volunteer Fire Company.
She enjoyed gardening and playing cards.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Connie L. and Tim Heffner of Westminster; grandchildren Amy N. Heffner of Owings Mills, James M. Heffner of Glen Burnie and Kevin E. Mort of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth E. Mort of Cockeysville.
A son, Dr. Kenneth E. Mort; sisters LaRue Formwalt and Mildred Abbate; and a brother, Charles G. Zile, predeceased her.
