Mrs. Emma Cook Barnes, of Spring Mills road, near Westminster, died Wednesday night at the Ibex Nursing Home, Westminster, following a lengthy illness. Aged 89 years, she was born in Carroll county a daughter of the late John W. and Mary Shipley Cook.
Surviving are her husband, William A. Barnes, son, Edgar A. Barnes of Mayberry, a brother, Theodore Cook, of New Windsor; a sister, Mrs. David Jones, Of Holbrook, and six grandchildren.
