Lida Rachell Barnum Hackett was the daughter of Charles and Mary B. (Linn) Barnum. Her siblings were Martha (m. Issac M. Ballinger), Putnam, Frank Mitchel, Ida M. (her twin) (m. Alfred Bryant Miller)and William Webster Barnum. She also had two half sisters from her mother's marriage to Hugh Montgomery: Sarah Samantha Montgomery (m. Charles Harry) and Jennie Matilda Montgomery.
Lida's grandparents were Thomas and Rachel (Leyman) Linn; great grandparents were Andrew and Martha (Polk) Linn and Michael and Rachel (Neal) Leyman.
She married Wallace Hackett Dec. 25, 1895 in Pontiac, Livingston, Illinois, with Jos. Bell, Minister of the Gospel, Officiating. They had three children; Ira Milton (m. Hazel Gertrude Unknown; they had a son Halsey Hackett), Mildred (Ira's twin) and Marie Hackett.
