Pauline Griffith Mehaffey was born in Palestine. She departed this earthly home in her home in Rockdale, Texas. She grew up, graduated from Palestine High School and went on to school in Fort Worth training for the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Weather Bureau. In 1943 she married Linwood C. Mehaffey in Palestine. After his tour of duty in the military they moved to Rockdale which became their lifelong home. She was the capable women described in Proverbs 31. A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 18 at St. John's Methodist Church in Rockdale. Visitation preceded the service in the fellowship hall.
