Lorena M. Dobesh was born July 9, 1916 in Somerville to Caroline and Charles Peters. She passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001 after a long, fulfilling and happy life.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2001 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel, located at 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Brother Joe Cox of the University Hills Church of Christ in Austin will officiate the services. Visitation will begin after 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
Lorena was a very joyous, happy and strong woman who blessed her family with total devotion and love.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Dobesh; parents, Caroline and Charles Peters; and son-in-law, Robert Kucera Jr.
Lorena is survived by her daughters: Carrie Cawthon and husband James, Alma Kucera, and Dorothy Cawthon and husband Richard; son, Charles Adolph Dobesh and wife, Nelda; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren expected next year.
Pallbearers will be grandsons James Cawthon III, Ronald Cawthon Sr., Robert Kucera, Forrest Cawthon and Charles Dobesh Jr., and great-grandson Ronald Cawthon Jr. All other grandsons and great-grandsons are honorary pallbearers.
