Frank B. Warnock, 58, Aledo barber for many years, died suddenly about 6 p. m. Saturday, March 7, 1953 while taking part in the American Legion state bowling tournament in Kankakee.

He left Aledo early Saturday morning in the company of five other local bowlers, among them Mercer county Sheriff Robert S. Cagle, who notified the Davis funeral home of the death early Saturday evening. The body was returned to Davis in Aledo.

Funeral services were held today at 2 p. m. at the First Presbyterian church of Aledo, Rev. Howard Van Dyke officiating. Burial was in Aledo cemetery.

Mr. Warnock was born July 24, 1894, in Aledo, the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Hugh Warnock. He was employed in the Farr clothing store for several years and with the exception of a short time in Arizona, resided all of his life in Aledo.

In addition to his regular duties as a barber he has served as school barber at Roosevelt Military academy, Aledo, for many years.

He was married to Margo Crosby on June 6, 1922 and she preceded him in death in February of 1950. His only child, a son Ward, died suddenly on May 20, 1951 in Kobe, Japan, while serving with the army there.

Warnock was a veteran of World War I and was wounded in action. He was a past commander of the Mercer county VFW post and was also a member of the American Legion post in Aledo. He was a member of Aledo lodge 252 A. F. & A.M.; the Moline Consistery Valley of Moline 32nd Degree; and the Mohamed Shrine of Peoria.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Cora Brehmer of Davenport and three nephews, Dr. Robert Warnock of Alexis, Richard W. Warnock of Hilton, N. Y., and John Warnock of Wenstchee, Wash.
