Services for Ben H. Jones, 98, Lizton, were Friday, Dec. 13, in the Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway. Rev. Linda Kallock and Rev. Garland Kincaid officiated, with burial in the Lizton K of P Cemetery.
A native of Kentucky, he was born April 1, 1893 to William and Eliza Allen Jones. He married Henrietta Baird, who preceded him in death. Mr. Jones operated a dairy farm north of Lizton for 20 years until the late 1960's. Previously he owned and operated a Sinclair service station in Indianapolis for 30 years. The author of several short stories and books, he was also a genealogist and historian of central Kentucky. He died Tuesday, Dec. 10, at his home.
Surviving are a son, Gene A. Jones; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
