He was the son of Sherwood Beckham and Mary Stevens Daly and the husband of Mallinda Amelia "Molly" Trice.

She was b. 06 May 1803 in Monroe Co. Ga. and d. 27 Dec 1893 in Concord, Pike Co. Ga. She is also buried in the Beckham Cemetery. They were the parents of ten children.

He and his family are buried in the Beckham Cemetery, South of Concord on the West end of Fossett Road. This cemetery is located several hundred yards down a dirt road and access is now controlled by a hunting club. I have been advised that permission has to be obtained from the president of this club. I do not know the name of this person but I have been told that they have put a fence across the road with a gate that is padlocked. There have been several instances of vandalism to the graves in this cemetery and the law enforcement officers have been made aware of the situation and have this under their watch.

His brother's family are buried in the Beckham Cemetery on the East end of Fossett Road. This cemetery on the East End of Fosset Road is fenced and considered to be on private property. It is not known who controls access to this proerty.

Beckham Creek was the dividing line of their property.
