Ted Wayne Jones, 73
Ted Wayne Jones, son of Cleo Wells Jones of Magnolia, Illinois and the late Frederick Jones, was born Septemer 22, 1937 in Norton, Virginia. He departed this life on October 25, 2010 in Hazel Crest, Illinois at the age of 73 years, one month and three days. In 1956 he was united in marriage to Cloe "Peggy" Rogers in Harrison, Arkansas. To this union five children were born. He spent his life as a son, brother, husband and grandfather. During his working years, he was employed by the B & O Railroad as a Switchman. Retiring after 27 years of employment.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Peggy Jones of the home; two sons and two daughter-in-law: Fred and Christina Jones of Crestwood, Illinois and Casey and Nadine Jones of Midlothian, Illinois; one daughter and son-in-law: Donna and David Vanderwall of Frankfort, Illinois; his mother: Cleo Jones of Magnolia, Illinois; one brother: Charles Jones of Magnolia, Illinois; ten grandchildren: James Jones, Jennifer Dodson, Amanda Miller, Brian Thomson, Angel Smith, Taylor Jones, Cole Jones, Richard Pawlaczyk, Cloe Ann Vanerwall and Vance Vanderwall; three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his father and two daughters: Barbara Jones and Sue Ellen Jones.
Funeral service was Friday, October 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Iuka Church of Christ with Jeff Howard officiating. Burial was at Moody Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
