Anna R. Fischer, 89, of Columbus, died on Friday, May 4, 2001, at the Columbus Center.

The funeral was held on Monday, May 7, at 11:30 a.m., at the Vangen Funeral Home, Rio. The Rev. Donald Wiecki officiated. Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery, Doylestown.

Mrs. Fischer was born on June 15, 1911, in Beaver Dam, the fourth child of eight children, to Frank and Toefilia (Ratcheck) Malkowski. She was married first to Vincent Wylesky Sr., in 1930. She was later married to LeRoy Fischer, in 1955.

Mrs. Fischer worked at the Rio Glove Factory and the Cambria Canning Co. for many years. She lived on her farm in rural Fall River, until becoming a resident at the Columbus Center two years ago. She loved sewing and embroidering, particularly making quilts. She also loved swans and had an extensive collection. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Doylestown, and the Royal Neighbors of America, Camp 6215, Doylestown for over 50 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Ann Drzonek, Doylestown, and Mary (LaVern) Fischer, Rio; three sons, Joseph (Gloria) Wylesky, and William Wylesky, both of Doylestown, and Robert (Akiko) Wylesky, Fall River; four sisters, Martha Pilchowicz, Milwaukee, Regina (Earl) Allen, Columbus, and Margaret Magyar, and Agnes Reinke, both of Beaver Dam; two daughters-in-law, Gertrude Wylesky, Doylestown, and Beverly Wylesky, Rio; three sisters-in-law, Martha Malkowski, Milwaukee, Gladys Malkowski, Beaver Dam, and Gladys Snell, Montana; 29 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchldren, 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Vincent Wylesky, in 1952; her second husband, LeRoy Fischer, in 1956; two sons, Vincent Wylesky Jr., and Lawrence Wylesky; two daughters, Joan Livingston, and Agnes Wylesky; three brothers, Stanley, Ambrose, and Florian Malkowski; two sons-in-law, Earl Drzonek, and Marvin Livingston; seven brothers-in-law, Stanley Pilchowicz, Joseph Maygar, Harlen Reinke, Carter Snell, Clarence (Gerturde) Anthony, John (Viola) Kirley, and Casper Wylesky, and four grandchildren, Richard and Vicki Wylesky, Cindy Holly, and Curtis Wylesky.

Friends called on Monday, May 7, at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, at the Vangen Funeral Home, Rio.
