Linda was born on Aug. 3, 1948 in Rochelle, the daughter of Earl and Lydia Woodrick White. Linda married Johnny Asbury, husband of 41 years, on June 30, 1968 at Faith Lutheran Church in Rochelle. Linda worked as a CAN at the Rochelle Health Care Center West before retiring. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Betty Nutt, Marilyn Morrison, Janet Turner, Maxine Highstreet; and two brothers, Frank White and Earl White Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny, of Oregon; three sons, Adam (Melanie) Asbury, of Franklin Grove, Ronny Asbury of Oregon and Johnny (Lynn) Asbury Jr. of Dixon; a daughter, Dawn Orr of Savanna; two brothers, Robert White of Hillcrest and Don (Betty) White of Rochelle; a sister, Martha Atkinson of Genoa; special nieces, Laura Kirk of Rochelle, Donna Kummer of Rockford and Sharon Belcher of Dixon; six grandchildren, Cheyenne, Chelsea, Starr, Dakotah, Marissa and Karlee; and a great-granddaughter, Khayshia.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rochelle, with Pastor Gregory Hoffman officiating. A memorial has been established. Unger-Horner Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
