Sweet Pauline Chapin, 77, and her well respected husband George Chapin, 87, were discovered October 3, 2000, savagely beaten and murdered in the home they had shared for nearly 50 years at 28065 East Palos Verdes Drive, Palos Verdes, California. Pauline, born July 23, 1923 in Massassachusetts, was bedridden at the time. Described as "incredible people" by those who knew them, the couple will be mourned deeply by family and friends.
They were survived by their daughter, Donna, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Pauline was also survived by her brothers, Irving, Robert and David Rocheford. Graveside memorial services were held on October 9, 2000 at Green Hills memorial Park.
