Wedding Article: Joe Logan, Solder, Marries Milton Girl
Word has been received in Milton announcing the marriage of Joseph Logan and Miss Ottie I. Corbin, both of Milton, at Augusta, Georgia, on Wednesday afternoon of last week at four o'clock. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Jenkins, pastor of the M. E. church, at the parsonage there. Mrs. Logan, who has been private secretary in the office of Samuel J. Shimer, Sr., of the Milton Manufacturing Company will remain for the present in Augusta, Georgia.
Mr. Logan is now stationed at Camp Hancock. During the summer of 1916, at the outbreak of trouble with Mexico, he joined Troop M, First Pennsylvania Cavalry, and went to the border. When the troop was ordered to Camp Hancock, he again accompanied it. Recently the Cavalry was disbanded and he was placed in the 103rd Mortar Battery.

Private Joe A. Logan was called up on July 6, 1916, part of the Mexican emergency by the president on June 18, 1916. His home station was Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He was initially a member of Troop M, First Pennsylvania Calvary, then assigned to the 111 Infantry. He fought in overseas in the Meuse-Argonne; as well as Def Sec Thiaucourt. He was slightly injured on October 2, 1918, at Meuse-Argonne. He was discharged on March 17, 1919.

Family visitation 6 – 8 p.m. Friday. Memorial services Friday 8 p.m. at the Ralph E. Leslie Home for Funerals, 424 N. Negley Avenue.
