Mrs. Edith W. Gregory, 83 , of Santa Maria died Feb. 9, 1996 at a local Santa Maria Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born March 11, 1912, in Los Angeles. She moved to Santa Maria at the age of 7.
She was educated in Santa Maria and Tulsa, Oklahoma, where, she graduated from high school and attended college. She then returned to Santa Maria in 1930, where she married Bill Gregory, former co-owner of Bill & Nick's Liquor.
She was a former member of the Rebecca Lodge & the Phi Epsilon Phi Sorority.
Survivors include daughters, Susan D. Lowe of Santa Clara, and Barry A. Eames of Santa Maria: and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Bill Gregory. Jan. 14, 1975, and a grandson, Christopher W. Eames, April 6, 1979.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions are requested to be sent to Rehabilitation Institute of Santa Barbara. 427 Caminodel Remedio. Santa Barbara. CA. 93110. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Magner-Maloney Funeral Home.
