C.L. Arnold of this place and his sisters, Mrs. James Clark, Mrs. B.F. Clark and Mrs. W.H. Root, of Iola, were called to Crandall Sunday to attend the funeral of their sister-in-law, Mrs. F.D. Arnold, who died Saturday forenoon. On Tuesday a phone message told of the death, early in the day of one of the twin babies that were born on the 21st of January. These deaths are a sore affliction to the husband and father who has three small children to care for lone handed. Mrs. Root brought the remaining twin home with her Wednesday to keep awhile.

The good news that twin boys had arrived to gladden Frank Arnold's home was too soon folled by the very sad news that the mother and one boy had died. We send sympathy to the grief stricken family. Frank Arnold lives near Crandall, is a brother to C. L. Arnold and at one time lived west of the river.
