In the 1960s and 70s Mrs. Jones owned and managed many popular restaurants in the Fredericksburg area such as The Chuck Wagon in Spotsylvania, the Sandlewood Restaurant in Fredericksburg and the Martha Washington Inn and Restaurant in Stafford.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her devoted husband Hobert D. Jones, her six children; Wesley Tyree, Judy Mellott, Daniel Tyree, Katrina Henderson, Dwyane Tyree and Hobert D. Jones, Jr, her 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and also her brother Milton Garland and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral Services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday, February 16, 2005 graveside at Laurel Hill Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. Dale Donadio of Spotsylvania Assembly of God. Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania is in charge of arrangements.
