Herman Wesley Bryles, age 56, of Jefferson, Ark., died Monday, June 19, 2006, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Mr. Bryles was born April 13, 1950, in Pine Bluff, to the late Herman Walter and Stella Vernee Laminack Bryles. He was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. He also attended the University of Central Arkansas. Mr. Bryles worked for Kroger in North Little Rock for 23 years, retiring as Warehouse Supervisor. He later worked for Condray Sign Company before retiring in 2000.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a member of Junet Pentecostal Church and the Teamsters Local Union #878 in Little Rock and a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve during the Vietnam era. He loved home, family, friends, Bible Study, gardening and sports.

Survivors include wife, Barbara Ellen Fleming Bryles, who he married February 10, 1973, in Pine Bluff; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Bryles Provost and husband, Hugh, of Newport; two nieces, Ruth Provost of Walnut Ridge and Rebekah Provost-Emmons of Jackson, Tenn.
