John served in the Army Air Corps in World War II, Pacific Theater. He was an accomplished musician, playing in bands in the 30's, 40's, and 50's. He was employed at Daniel Industries for 30 years. Married to Angele Treme 56 years until her death in 1998. John is survived by three stepsons, Sam, Don and Larry Irving, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Larry Irving, Chris Irving, Anthony Irving, Marc Irving, Glen Irving, Clint Butler, Larry Stein, Dave Masoner. The family will receive friends for visitation 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2003, at Earthman Hunters Creek, 8303 Katy Freeway. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2003, in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Mausoleum. For those desiring contributions can be made to the charity of choice.
