Drexel L. Phillips, 79, of Boaz, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at
Golden Living Nursing Home.
Services were Sunday, June 28, at 3 p.m. at McRae Funeral Home with the
Revs. James Perigo and Clatus Nesmith officiating. Burial followed at Friendship Cemetery.
Survivors include his son, Charlie (Jamie) Phillips, of Boaz; daughters,
Carlene (Jerry) Morgan and Connie (A.D.) Stephens, all of Boaz; sisters, Rene Duke,
Iris Dodd and Glenda Lowery, all of Boaz, Audrey Scott, of Anniston, Wynell Nixon, of Horton, and Helen McCoy, of Highpoint; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
